As we enter the 61st year of the Kandy Society of Medicine (KSM), which was founded in 1964, I am honored and proud to assume the role of the 55th president. This esteemed professional organization has a long history of promoting both professional collaboration and cultural heritage. I am deeply grateful for the dedication and effectiveness of those who have guided the KSM to its current high standards.
Our primary responsibility is to enhance the educational standards of our medical community through various academic activities scheduled throughout the year. Additionally, we are dedicated to various social welfare initiatives that are supported by the voluntary contributions of our members and other interested parties.
This year, our theme, "Steering towards sustainable professional development in healthcare," highlights our commitment to progress in the field. With a council of dedicated professionals leading the way, we are ready to propel the KSM to new heights.
